What we put into our products
Sweet Almond Oil: Sweet almond oil is cold pressed from the almond itself and has conditioning, emollient, softening and smoothing qualities.
Coconut Oil: Coconut helps the skin naturally control its oil secretions and most importantly application of coconut on the skin after washing with soap / shower gel helps the skin quickly and naturally restore its pH level to 5.5 without blocking pores. Using coconut in skin care products or direct on the skin is a wonderfully natural way to beautiful skin.
Jojoba Oil: Jojoba is the liquid wax produced in the seed of the Jojoba plant. A shrub native to southern Arizona, southern California and northwestern Mexico. Unlike many other oils, jojoba is chemically very similar to human sebum which moisturise, nourish and protect the skin. Jojoba also has a natural SPF of 5 which further enhances its skin caring benefits.
Wheat germ Oil: is an unrefined oil that is obtained from the germ of the wheat kernel. It is the richest source of Vitamin E than any other vegetable oil. It also has a high content of Vitamin A and Vitamin D. Other benefits of wheat germ oil include its antioxidant properties and its effect in strengthening the immune system and restoring overall health.
Organic, Unrefined, Fairtrade Shea Butter: This unrefined butter which is made from the West African Shea nut is an excellent skin conditioner and nourishes the skin with Vitamins A, E and F. It heals, protects and soothes rough, dry or chapped lips, and is absorbed easily.
Organic, Unrefined, Fairtrade Cocoa Butter: An outstanding nut fat which is extracted from the cocoa bean, cocoa butter is an emollient that softens, heals and protects chapped skin. It is also high in antioxidants and helps to retain moisture (and gives the lip balm the sweet, decadent, 'creamy' texture).
Yellow Beeswax: A natural, unrefined, unbleached wax made by bees in the cell walls of honeycombs, beeswax creates a protective barrier over the lips which helps the lip balm to stay on. It is also a hydrating ingredient in its own right.
